On November 3, a meeting of the faculty of the university with an employee of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption in the East Kazakhstan region was held at the Kazakhstan Innovation University. There were 45 teachers and staff of the university.
The meeting was aimed at discussing the main directions of the anticorruption strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025 and the National Plan of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “100 concrete steps”. The meeting was attended by the chief specialist of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption in the East Kazakhstan region Ishimbek G.Zh. He spoke about the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 986 “On the anti-corruption strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025”.
At the same time, he noted that the key areas of anti-corruption, defined by the Strategy, are:1. Counteracting corruption in the public service;2. Introduction of the institution of public control;3. Counteracting corruption in the quasi-public and private sectors;4. Prevention of corruption in judicial and law enforcement agencies;5. Formation of the level of anti-corruption culture;6. Development of international cooperation on anti-corruption issues.Ishimbekov G.Zh., also reported on the implementation of the National Plan of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “100 specific steps”, emphasized that from 2016 , civil servants will be charged with declaring not only their incomes, but also their expenses.The aim of the Strategy is to increase the effectiveness of the state’s anti-corruption policy, to involve the entire society in the anti-corruption movement by creating an atmosphere of “zero tolerance” for any manifestations of corruption and a reduction in corruption in Kazakhstan.
