On November 29, 2017, an anti-corruption action was carried out at the Kazakhstani Innovation University in the framework of the state policy on combating corruption in educational institutions. The purpose of the event is counteracting corruption at the Kazakhstan Innovation University, discussion of the Anti-Corruption Strategy 2015-2050, the nation’s plan “100 concrete steps”. The action began at 11.00 on the time of Astana. A total of 1,644 university students were enrolled. The reports were made by the head of the department “Jurisprudence”, doctor of political sciences Bukhaeva AA, teachers of the department “Jurisprudence” Sadvakasov T., Aitkazin E.M., Bekposov A.T., Maulenuly A.M. The event was attended by Ishimbekov G.Zh., chief specialist of the department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Anti-corruption of East Kazakhstan region. During the meeting, the main provisions of the Law “On Combating Corruption” (from November 18, 2015) were discussed, the reasons for the appearance of an antisocial phenomenon, which stem from the shortcomings in the political, economic structure of society, moral degradation, social injustice, imperfection legislation, historical and cultural tradition, political, economic and social instability. Particular attention was paid to the negative consequences of corruption for the economy, political stability of the state, the formation of anti-corruption culture of youth.
